“North to Alaska”

I have been retired for 11 years now, and Cathy is still learning to retire after two years of practice.  We are still loving the life we live in the rainforests of Alaska. We drove ‘North to Alaska’ on our honeymoon in 1982 and have never left. That’s not to say we don’t have the itch to spend some of our time in areas that have a fraction of our annual 200+ inches of precipitation per year.

I’ve been learning to make use of our subsistence harvests perfecting moose summer sausage, smoking salmon and halibut ceviche.

Pre-COVID we enjoyed our annual gatherings with the Pells, Simecks, Sellners, Tuzzolos, O’Connells, and Ken Dumas in Nebraska, New Mexico, Florida, Arizona, New York, Pennsylvania, and Alaska! Can’t wait for September 2022 when we can do it again with even more classmates!

  1. Looking forward to our reunion. Hope we avoid COVID so we can do this.
